About Webperf.se
Webperf.se monitors and compares the quality of Swedish websites, primarily in the public sector. The results are open for anyone to read.
The purpose
- Apply pressure on organisations whose websites don't measure up
- Give tools to those who want to improve theirs
- Enable comparison between similar organisations
- Make progress visible over time
What is tested?
The same tests as in Webperf Core, because it's exactly the same engine:
- Web performance with Sitespeed.io and Lighthouse
- Accessibility with Pa11y and Axe
- Security and privacy with Webbkoll and built-in checks
- Standards compliance for HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Energy efficiency
- Email and DNS
Four tests only available here
Four tests are retired in Webperf Core but still offered by Webperf.se, Premium and Webperf Cloud. So you can see them in a result, but you cannot run them yourself from the command line.

If you run Webperf Core yourself, the same areas are covered by 30 – Lighthouse and 18 – Accessibility (Pa11y). The difference is that you get one score per test instead of four separate ones.
The names for every test number are in GET /v1/tests. That endpoint is open and needs no key.
Which websites are listed?
- The Swedish public sector: municipalities, regions and government agencies
- Nationally important websites: including political parties and democracy-related services
- Private websites covered by the accessibility directive: since 2023
Technical requirements
- The website must have its own domain or subdomain
- It must have representative content, so not "under construction"
- The start page is defined as the domain without a www prefix
What does it cost?
Being listed is free for websites that meet the criteria. Webperf Cloud is a paid service for those who want more frequent tests, history, reports, the ability to test their own environments, and support to ask when something goes wrong.
